Nelson first Cruise ship of the season…
presented at The Cut
this morning.
For its arrival, Nelson, on this occassion,
did not do as she does usually…
put on glorious morning sunshine to welcome the passengers into Port, no today has started out differently than normal.
But I’m sure as the day goes on, and just like the first Nelson settlers…
they’ll get to experience some of our legendary Nelson ( #gigatownNSN ) sunshine.

Reason why their were so many sailboats….

…this last few days is because …
…the oldest Yacht Club in New Zealand, the Nelson Yacht Club is hosting the 2014 NZ Laser National Champs.
They are on from 16th - 19th Jan 2014.

Note to self…
…won an auction for a budget old timer, wanting to stick my Canon Point & Shoot on it and set camera to timelapse mode, …see what happens….and for $5, thought it was worth trying out anyway. Guess the xray scanners at the mail centre had other ideas….? Result - package delayed.

the jump off point is near on 600m above sea level
and the trip down to the Ngawhatu Reserve is around 2.75km.

…am left wondering if another craze started….… down-under in Nelson, New Zealand?

Not surprising though, considering this is #gigatownNSN after all isn’t it?

Your Puppy looks wantingly…

…..our dog loved this place, in fact I think she liked it more than Isel Park.
And it doesn’t take anymore than parking your vehicle at the end of Parkers Rd (Google will help you here) to be able to take monster advantage of all this beach so close to the tarseal!
