One of the Coolest things I saw this weekend…

in our faire town of Nelson.

Suspect out of the Mini Nationals,

the Hotrods and all the American Classics here for Labour weekend,

perhaps this guy just wanted to make a stand?

What a BLOCK coincidence…but a real meaningful one all the same….

 

…as most Nelsonians know we are around about 24hrs away from finding out who wins The Block NZ 2013.

And particularly of interest to Nelsonians, is that out of the 4 couples competing with their 4 separate and individual homes, is Loz & Tom Heaphy from Nelson.

Well here’s something that I personally thought was very interesting.

Ruby, who is Loz’s grandmother read out this poem to a training session my wife attended recently, but she only told me about it today. And really - you deserve it to yourself to read. I thought it quite profound.

And on behalf of Nelsonians for tomorrow, Wednesday night, go Loz & Tom!!!!

and there is absolutely no way if your children grow up in Nelson that that shouldn’t be your experience too.

She certainly fills the picture waterside,  in this webcam shot from Port Nelson.

And courtesy of the hills around town there were plenty of great vantage points

to watch the proceedings.

And it seems film them too.

Some it would seem, had a grandstand view!

Well that was close…

you might have noticed that Port Nelsons webcam

does not show any large ship tied up…

just too windy it would seem

to risk coming through The Cut at present, although most units are still out there, a window might still be available later this afternoon.

Two guys spotted me this week…

taking their photos…first was this guy taking the….

appropriately named “healthy box” into a brand new Nelson gym.

And the second chap…well from a distance I did not see him….

but at 60x zoom, its quite obviously he saw me.

Actually really concentrating on this series of pics, this chap must have asked another guy because it appears they have different coloured shirts?
