On account of how everything looks like a “matchbox toy” from a certain height……….

……..I cannot fathom if these folk are on Jetskis or in Bowriders?

Can someone in NZ enlighten me where this is at…..and if poss are they boats or Jetskis?

Alls I can say, was that for a Sunday afternoon….these folk certainly seemed to look like they were having a “great time” in what must be one of the most protected and quite possibly best locations for doing this activity in NZ.

So I’ll try not to spoil their parade, and let their secret out.

and it looks like the next “new thing” reality TV show out of OZ,

about real estate……..

could just (if this taxi cab ad is too be believed) be “EXTREME.”

As one who could say they are accustomed….

while you are driving (BUT not looking through the viewfinder)

that the perspective of some otherwise vertical objects……

….gets just a tiny bit weird??????

Every day whilst you are…

driving along the “country road” in NZ you

are constantly reminded of one important thing…….and that is………

……….what really beautiful scenery we have here.

And this even….extends to “just the road ahead.”

The entrance to Days Track

is getting a long awaited and much needed upgrade.

Crews have been busy for the last few weeks constructing what looks like….

a new entry pathway to the bottom entry points of Days Track……

Strange how all this activity seems to happen in the last financial month of the year isn’t it?

just after leaving the Tahunanui Beach area

When low tide arrives, many pools are left in the rocky outcrops

and this forms the perfect place for young “explorers” to investigate, and to provide endless educational opportunities for the teachers to show/talk/play with.

Thanks to my best mate for offering to let me take his convertible for a drive on Sat afternoon to see a family friend in her 80’s that we hadn’t seen in over 5 years.

Ok I digressed away from Nelson in….

my last few posts here……(kind of on a/c that I was OS for 4 days)…

but really only to the extent ……….

so as to highlight the paradise we have here……

And that although on the surface………….

to each individual resident that might not appear much, but …..

……..we truly should be thankful each morning

we awake to this beautiful spot called Nelson.

I too know all the reasons why) probably explains clarifies…….

NZ PM John Key wants us to bridge the gap between Godsown and OZ.

However while the average Aussie can drop the credit card for a small selection for his wife while travelling through Duty Free in Sydney……..I’d suggest not as many (on a population equivalent basis at least) of Kiwis would find their bank accounts so inclined.

One thing about Kiwis is…

they usually don’t beat around the bush…..

and like to get to the point.

Was reminded of that flying back into Christchurch on Sunday afternoon actually.
