Nelson Opera in the Park

is just a few weeks away, but if a certain Nelson City Council councillor had his way…it’d be just the start.

Don’t we just have some stunning vistas….

Artists ~ take note…

I suggest here tonight …

….”want to be painted old buildings…”

are here in our region.

If you happen to be one of those rare things….

…a travelling artist…

….then pray tell…

…our english hertitage….

…well it does to tend to show through…

…then you look around a bit….

…touch base with me and ….

….I can tell you where all these locations are…

….but probably more importantly…

…..but also…

….timely…

how to get there to them…

….and ……quickly……

….without hitchin’ a ride.

What can I say…just love where I live!

But believe me here…..

….there is just so much more locally….

…that someone who paints as a hobby…..

… could entertain themselves with ….on a daily basis?

on Nelson City Council manhole covers, certainly couldn’t accuse them of being boring?

yup not the Kingswood, but the Holden Premier I’m pretty sure it is?

Abel Tasman is a major drawcard…

for visitors to our region, for Kiwis and our overseas friends, did you know there is a quick (& rather scenic) way to get there from Nelson?

Its via the Catamaran Sea Shuttle which leaves most mornings from Wakefield Quay.

Today in Nelson….

….well today in Nelson was magic.

From my memory at least ..

….its got to be like at the very minimum…

the best wind out there on this date in late January…

for the last 5 years or more.

What does that mean?

Well it means something really important.

It means that Nelsons annual Kite Festival…..the biggest in NZ…

….finally has an opportunity to shine!

Yup sure does….

just glorious sunshine…

…. a fab day all the same! And hey…in Nelson…that was just One Summers Day!

Nelson….hmmm….fast watersports or ….

….slow water sports…totally covered this Sunday…you could do anything….

… it was really just one mid summers day in local Nelson town…and if you had other interests…

…..like….

…well we “occupied you” I think……

Really want to live somewhere “cool” on this planet…..Nelson in NZ has to be “up there”.
