…locally seem to still be rising….they say you can save money…..but only if you’re prepared to “downsize” a bit.
…but it looked like this bus load
of youngsters was having a great time
and it appeared to involve a “race?” across to Haulashore Island and back?
….you spot a “weekend car” that matters.
And….the original Japanese supercar certainly is right up there….. numero uno …..I suggest.
Actually I wouldn’t think there would really be too many in this pristine “going” condition in NZ.
So spotting one of these in the neighbourhood this week restored my faith in what a local garage may harbour.
..surprisingly enough little ole Nelson town,
it does offer that too.
A desire to “be beside the seaside” can most definitely be achieved here.
And the views from your balcony….
or a local restaurant…
or two…
well lets just say…
they would be hard to beat in many modern towns today!
arrives in Tasman Bay. Having left Australia in recent times, the FV Abel Tasman (formerly “Margiris” ….maybe again now???) ,
and being sold on 6th March 2013, the boat with nets large enough to put 13 x Boeing 747s inside,
the headline seeking vessel appears to be making its way? into Port Nelson? CREDIT IMAGE ABOVE – Wikipedia
Interestingly “apparently” its destination was Wellington, although CentrePort Wellington don’t appear to show it as an official arrival? One can only wonder who the new owners might be?
UPDATE 21st March 2013
The now named “Margiris” again did not visit the Port yesterday like it appeared it might,
it spent the day traversing back and forth in the Bay, there was some discussion regarding leaving Port Lincoln for engine trials, so that could of explained the vessels presence here.
As of this morning she was off the south east coast of the North Island, travelling in what looked like a northerly direction.
to the centre left and Bishopdale centre of photo. You can just make out Waimea Rd in the middle. Decided to help someone push their car to start last night after leaving a property viewing….that’s when I felt a “twang” like a rubber band snap in my lower leg……hence a visit last night to the place on the right….Nelson Hospital.
Upper left side is Panorama Drive, Enner Glynn with the newer homes built up their enjoying some of the better vistas available locally.
The calm before the storm….
was quite popular indeed.
Car parking around the whole area
was an issue and a premium.
And there sure were some bikes?
With up to 18 more seats than the 50 seats of Air Nelsons current crop of 23 x Q300’s, Air New Zealands brand new ATR72-600s are currently being delivered.
Black Beauty here was the first plane delivered of the new bunch of 12 the airline has ordered,
…. and to commemorate got this fabulous paint job. has recently seen commencing deliveries.
Very fast turnaround this afternoon too. I spotted her and one of the older ATR72-500s sharing the Nelson Airport tarmac this afternoon, so its quite obvious that Air NZ is increasing capacity into and out of Nelson.
in recent times….
a series of exercise stations…
…..have been placed …..
….around the perimeter…..
…..of the Nelson Airport walk.
As I have mentioned before…
Its quite a peaceful walk really as dogs and bicycles aren’t allowed…..
…..just pedestrian …..
….and stroller traffic that’s all
